Since 2006, Ballade organizes international youth exchanges (BalsiKa, Tumbalalaïka) in:
Countries of the European Union (eg : Germany, Croatia, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Poland, Slovenia…) ;
Other European countries (eg : Albania, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine…).
These exchanges target young musicians aged 13 to 30 years old. They are planned around a topical issue chosen in relation to Erasmus+ program’s priorities (eg : the role of migrant women, fake news, inclusive Europe, interreligious dialogue…).
The goal of these exchanges is to get to know each other beyond borders and communities in order to help build an inclusive Europe / an inclusive World. Thanks to the music and songs of each country which are learned and played together, group cohesion is strong and creates a space to share ideas and to discuss.
